Sam Sabido
Sam Sabido is a crochet designer, author, and passionate teacher known for her creative approach to modern crochet. As the author of the bestselling My Granny Square Wardrobe, Sam has inspired makers of all levels to explore colour, texture, and wearable design.A regular guest on Sewing Street and Yarn Lane, she shares her latest projects, techniques, and on-air tutorials, guiding viewers through makes such as her popular Beaded Flower Bag and Sail Away Crochet Top. Sam’s warm teaching style and love for the craft make her a trusted voice in the crochet community.
Project: You will crochet your own Sunshine Shrug. This will be designed especially for the OACR and so the exact design won’t be revealed until you arrive but the style will be very similar to the one pictured. The shrug will be constructed from large, lacy floral granny squares. Sam will teach you how to make the granny squares and how to join them to assemble them into a shrug to fit you. You will need to finish it in your own time but you will learn all the skills necessary to do this and it is a surprisingly quick and easy make!

Claire Montgomerie – is a textiles designer, author, stylist, teacher and craft editor. She has authored and edited many craft books and magazines, is a stylist for craft publications and has been teaching knitting and crochet workshops for over 20 years.
Project: Choose a project from one of her three bestselling Granny Square card decks and create a stunning crochet piece.

To secure your place, a £300 non-refundable deposit is required. The final balance is due 10 weeks before the retreat. Cancellations after the final payment are non-refundable. Payment plans can be arranged if needed.
